Barbara Bieraugel Patterns offers quilt designs for you from Hawaii. The applique and pieced quilt patterns are often tropical or nature inspired.  Realistic applique patterns offer you colorful tropical fish, butterfly, flowers, sea turtle or honu, and even a couple of giraffes.  Many of the Hawaiian quilt patterns were designed from those flowers in my gardens here in Kailua Kona, Hawaii.  Let us be your quilt store in Hawaii.

New Barbara Bieraugel Designs Patterns: Just released is a patchwork quilt pattern called Hawaii Blooms. Its soft colors remind you of grandmother's flower garden.  We also have the Red Rooster fabrics from The Aloha Quilt line that was used to make this quilt.  My newest Hawaiian quilt pattern is called Melia Beauty.  It is a smaller size that can be used as a wall hanging or table runner.  The plumeria (melia) and bird of paradise are the flowers used in the applique.  I feel this is my best Hawaiian design so far. Quilt Passions has gotten an exclusive batik with turtles and seaweed on it.  It is gorgeous in blues to turquoise with purple and gold thrown in for accents.  I have designed a pattern called Turtle Cove that shows off this fabric with large pieces. It is quite an easy pattern to make. Memories is an easy pattern that you can showcase those novelty prints you pick up on vacation or use your photos for a true memory quilt. This would make a great graduation present. and there is still time to make it!!   You can find them all in my Catalog.

Hopes & Dreams Quilt Challenge for ALS  Quilters Dream is accepting quilts to be given to ALS patients and along with your donation you are eligible to win exciting prizes. This is especially close to my heart since my Father suffered from this disease and passed away 22 years ago from it.  Please go to the Quilters Dream Batting web site to check this out. There is no treatment or help available for this disease even though it is one of the most common neurological disorders.  This is one way that you can help give comfort to those that have this disease.  Thank you.

Breast Cancer Awareness-My pattern Hope Blooms was designed for breast cancer awareness.  The pink ribbon of hope is part of all the applique blooms.  May those that make this pattern send out all their good blessings to those who are living with this disease. Right now this pattern is $1 off.

Stash or scraps, and don't we all have them filling up the closet and boxes all around. The following patterns work really well to use up some of those fabrics:  Two Block Tango, Giraffe Twins, Ocean Sunset, and Sweet Pea.  Two Block Tango is a great pattern for a scrappy patchwork quilt and it has instructions for three sizes and the two blocks can laid out to make numerous designs.  It is really fun to twist and turn the blocks to see which way looks best with your color choices.

Quilting should be an enjoyable experience. I have tried to offer you patterns with complete step by step instructions that you can understand. The applique patterns that I offer all include full size patterns for the applique and show a full quilt layout. Most of the applique instructions given are for hand applique but other methods will work just as well. The patterns can be appliqued to be realistic in coloration or as bright and wild as you want them, since they will be yours and for you to enjoy!
