Barbara Bieraugel Designs offers quilt designs for you from Hawaii. The applique and pieced quilt patterns are often tropical or nature inspired.  Realistic applique patterns offer you colorful tropical fish, butterfly, flowers, sea turtle or honu, and even a couple of giraffes.  Many of the Hawaiian quilt patterns were designed from those flowers in my gardens here in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. 

Breast Cancer Awareness-My pattern Hope Blooms was designed for breast cancer awareness.  The pink ribbon of hope is part of all the blooms.  May those that make this pattern send out all their good blessings to those who are living with this disease. Right now this pattern is $1 off.

New Barbara Bieraugel Designs Patterns: Penny Cove is a new patchwork pattern that can be made as a lap/wall hanging or queen sized quilt. The layout of the two twelve inch blocks forms a medallion style quilt. Under the Sea-With Me-Yellow Tang, a delightful small under the water scene with a yellow tang and coral.  Uner the Sea-With Me-Parrotfish pictures this gorgeous tropical fish swimming in the coral reefs. This the second in the series.  Lei Pua, is a beautiful small wall hanging that features tropical flowers (hibiscus, heliconia, bird of paradise, and plumeria) with a maile and laua'e fern lei in the border.  You can find them all in my catalog.  E Komo Mai-Hibiscus is also new and it is a companion wall hanging to Lei Pua.  This small wall hanging welcomes those that enter your home and you can buy the kit located in my Catalog Kits.

I have started a blog.  Right now I am still having a hard knowing what to say but hopefully over time it will get better.  My monthly pattern give away is now being done through my blog and the pattern will go to one of the people who leaves a comment on my blog during the month.  Visit me at my Blog and leave a comment. 

Paradise Stitched by Sylvia Pippen has just been added to the catalog under books.  This is a beautiful book showing the tropical flora and fauna in quilting.  There are six new applique and sashiko patterns included. 

Stash or scraps, and don't we all have them filling up the closet and boxes all around. The following patterns work really well to use up some of those fabrics:  Two Block Tango, Giraffe Twins, Ocean Sunset, and Sweet Pea.  Two Block Tango is a great pattern for a scrappy patchwork quilt and it has instructions for three sizes and the two blocks can laid out to make numerous designs.  It is really fun to twist and turn the blocks to see which way looks best with your color choices.

Quilting should be an enjoyable experience. I have tried to offer you patterns with complete step by step instructions that you can understand. The applique patterns that I offer all include full size patterns for the applique and show a full quilt layout. Most of the applique instructions given are for hand applique but other methods will work just as well. The patterns can be appliqued to be realistic in coloration or as bright and wild as you want them, since they will be yours and for you to enjoy!
