The butterfly is the symbol of transformation. Butterflies are found around the world and you can make them similar to ones you know or go for it and let your imagination run wild.  The butterflies were machine pieced but can be hand appliquéd, paper pieced, or fused and machine appliquéd. This quilt is 51” square.  The fabrics were supplied by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Intermediate level.

Paddler’s Heritage This quilt combines the ancestry of many people around the world in the petroglyphs with a modern day outrigger canoe and paddle. Reverse applique is used in the petroglyphs, machine piecing and hand applique are used in the canoe and paddle. All templates are full size.  The quilt finishes to a 43 ½” square.  Intermediate level

Hope Blooms is an applique and pieced quilt with flowers inspired by the pink ribbon of hope for Breast Cancer. The pattern includes full sized applique layout and templates for a table runner, wall hanging (36" square) and a full sized quilt. This pattern would be for the confident beginner or intermediate quilter.

Tropical Fish Sampler.  Tropical fish are very colorful fish in their natural colors, but they can become your own colorful creations by using your imagination and just going for it.  Those shown are close to their natural colorations in the wild. I give instructions for hand applique but they can be done in whatever applique technique you prefer. The quilt finishes to a 47” square.  An additional five fish layout is included. Advanced beginner.

The top fish is the Butterflyfish, middle fish is the Clown Triggerfish and the bottom fish is the Pennantfish.  Each pattern has a full size pattern, instructions for a block and also instructions for making the whole nine fish quilt and an additional layout for a five fish.  The blocks are 16 1/2" square for the first two  and the Clown Triggerfish is 16 1/2"x20 1/2".  Instructions are for hand applique but the pattern can easily be used for fused applique.  The fish are sold separately or all together in the Fish Sampler.
